BURRADUC BUFFALO FARM, BUNGWAHL

Elena and Andrei re-define hard workers. The only time we catch them taking a breath is when they come in for a pizza! Burraduc Farm is situated in Bungwahl and is the only NSW water buffalo dairy that is producing fresh milk and artisan cheeses by traditional methods in an A grade facility on the farm. The water buffalo herds are organically managed and pastured all year. Calves are allowed to stay with their mothers and graze freely with a mutual respect present between farmer and Buffalo. We ate many a mozzarella ball in Italy and Burraducs products take us back to Napoli every time!

Mother Fungus are a gourmet mushroom producer based in Old Bar on NSW Mid North Coast. As like most of the producers we work with, we first met the lovely Stu and Adele at the Taree Secret Markets. They bring a whole new meaning to mushrooms! They’re weird, they’re wonderful, they’re delicious and they bring our mushroom dishes to life.

Based in Wherrol Flats about an hour north west from Forster is Tania and Johnathan’s organic farm. We met these guys at our first ever markets when we sold pizza from our portable ovens. John has an incomparable passion for what he does and is scrupulous about selling only the best quality produce. We base a lot of our changing specials around what John and Tania have in season, with their basil, eggplants and zucchini being some of the best we have ever tried!

Nestled away in the beautiful hills of Wootton lies the Great Lakes Paddocks Winery, offering a range of beautiful wines and grass-fed angus beef, both of which you can find on our menu. Robyn and Steve are highly passionate about what they produce and wouldn’t settle for less than perfect.

Zoe and Shmu are based in Upper Lansdowne. The duo make a range of fermented food and drinks, each handmade in small batches using local organic products. We began buying there Kombucha back at the Taree markets, the best thirst quencher on a hot summers day! We loved their products so much, as well as have a huge respect an appreciation for the level of work and research that goes into producing them that we couldn’t not feature their Kombucha on our menu!

For these guys coffee is not just a morning ritual, its a way of life! they are meticulous in their choice of beans, from the quality to how the different locations bring a unique flavor and depth that combine to create the Bootleg Blend. The Bootleg blend consists of three distinctly different coffee beans; Huila in Colombia, Tiger Mountain in India and the famous Ipanema plantations of Brazil with each being separately roasted to optimize their individual characteristics and post blended. And best of all? It’s roasted right here in Forster!

Homemade Healthy Happy Farm & Farmstay is a small-scale ethical pork farm near Port Macquarie on the Mid-North Coast of NSW run by Sarah and her family. These guys live and breath ethical farming and have a deep compassion and connection with their pigs that is so often missing in pork farming. Their pigs well-being are of upmost importance and this nurturing and respect for their pigs comes through in the quality of the pork. We buy whole or half pigs of Sarah, all 100% organic.
